Mission
Statement of the Pearl River Police Department
The mission of the Pearl
River Police Department is to improve the quality of life for
the citizens and visitors of Pearl River.
We believe, as Law Enforcement Officers, our fundamental duty
is to serve mankind: to safeguard lives and property, to
protect the innocent against deception, the weak against
intimidation, and the peaceful against disorder, and to uphold
the Constitutional Rights of all persons to liberty, equality,
and justice.
We believe that crime is not only a police problem but a
social problem impacting all aspects of the community. We are
committed to working with the community to address these
issues.
We recognize the badge of our office as a symbol of public
faith, and we accept it as a public trust to be held so long
as we are true to the ethics of law enforcement. We will
constantly strive to achieve these objectives and ideals,
dedicating ourselves before God to our chosen
profession....Law Enforcement.
